A little bit about myself By Kathy Ileen Madden-Bentle EARLY YEARS I guess I will start at the beginning. I was born in Decatur, IL and have one sister under me at that time. After I turned 2 ½ years old my mom left my dad in Chicago IL and we went to live in California. We lived in California for all my younger years. FAMILY LIFE I quit high school and got married. I have three children whom are now grown and have families of their own. My children and I lived in the following cities in Santa Clara County, Milpitas, then moved to Sunnyvale, then back to San Jose were my first born and I lived briefly for a few months, before moving to Gilroy California. I moved to Stagecoach NV about eight years ago with my partner of 12 yrs. We have been here in Nevada since. EDUCATION I went back to school and tried to work at the same time in 1984. If I could not drive I walked until I contracted degenerative arthritis in my knees and it spread to and is spreading to other parts of my body. I went to school and was certified for medical office procedures. I have obtained my AA in business from Western International University, my BS in Psychology from University of Phoenix, and recently begun my Masters in psychology through Grand Canyon University online and should be a licensed counselor or psychologist by the year 2010. WORK EXPERIENCE I worked at a McDonalds for class credits while in my senior year. Although I still went to high school when I was able to work with a work permit. I then used this in obtaining a permanent position with Signetics Corp, in Sunnyvale, and National Semiconductor. I had to take a break to deal with the problems I was having with the courts while I fought for my children.
