Kathy's Story
Life
After 10 years in Ohio, my husband and I have moved to Glastonbury, Connecticut, so that I could take a new job as manager of chemical engineering at a small company in Wallingford. We live in a quiet neighborhood with lots of woods and country roads around us, but there is plenty to do close by, so we love it here. I have two girls, Sara born in 2002 and Becky born in 2004 who are growing up fast.

After several years of team leadership experience, I got a job offer with Proton Energy, a small company in Wallingford, CT, which makes hydrogen from water electrolysis with the goal of producing cleaner energy. I am currently the manager of chemical engineering there, leading contract research as well as spending some of my own time in the lab doing electrochemistry. It is a great place to be and I work with great people there.
