Kathy's Story
Life
I lived in the Anderson-Redding area from graduation until almost 2 years ago. I have three sons that I raised in Happy Valley. I graduated from nursing school in 2001 and worked at Mercy in Redding for 5 years as an oncology nurse. I reconnected with Aaron Haynes (class of 1979) on this site. We began emailing, then calling each other, then dating, then we married in April of 2006. I moved to Napa to be with my husband and work at the local hospital here in Napa as a procedural nurse and love it!
My son's are aged 26, 25, and 22. My oldest, Ricky, was tragically killed in an auto accident last September. My life will never be the same and I miss him so desperately. He was such a kind, caring, gentle guy and I am so lost without him. My middle guy is a Redding policeman and love...Expand for more
s his job. My youngest, Brett, just got married December of 2007 and lives in Mammoth Lakes. His wife, Joy, is a delight and I love having another female in the family!! My step-son, Tyler, is in the Navy and doing well. He is stationed in West Virginia for now and loves the winter there!
I have a miniature dachsund that I love to death, her name is Lucy and she is in the picture with Aaron and I. I spoil her rotten and she has truly been a source of comfort as I grieve my son. Whenever I am having a bad day, she is at my side making sure I am ok.
My best friend Charla Feser moved from Anderson when we were freshmen and we have stayed in contact over the years. She has truly been a huge support to me the last few months. God not only made us best friends but sisters in Christ as well.
