I moved to Portland September 1968 to attend school. Due to my mother's health during spring break in 1969. So, I stayed.After finishing school, I worked for a company in accounts receivable. That lasted a year. Then, I secured a position at Aetna Life & Casualty, Medicare Claims Administration o9n June 22 1970. That gig lasted 10 1/2 years. On January 5 1981 I went to work for OPS Blue Shield. Two years later, OPS merged with Blue Cross, and through various mergers and changes, I retired from Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield of Oregon on September 11, 2009. I left at a good time for me. According to the retirement calculator I work for them 28.76 years. I am now doing volunteering work in a couple of areas. Two mornings a week, I volunteer in a first grade class at Errol Hassell Elementary School. What an experience. We have 25 kids in the class. I help with whatever the teacher needs. The other area is that I volunteer with is transporting needy friends and church members to their various appointments. I am single, never mariied. Just never met that certain ...Expand for more
