Life Anything exciting in my life I can't write about, as it's so way out. However, at this point, I'm living in wonderful Peachland, BC with an exceptional husband. Unfortunately no kids and no animals. Don't travel as much anymore as fun in the Okanagan keeps me home. We hit Vegas now and then, other spots in BC & AB, plus check in with family and friends in Vancouver twice a year. I'm ageing way too fast, but still kinda look like the Kathy some of you once knew, with the help of Curves. Love my computer and at present, am burning all my records & taped music onto CD's. Plus burning all my VHS Video's into DVD's. More at it happens, or if I win the Lotto. Some faces I knew: Ken & John Purves, Gertrude Charnock, Jackie Austrup?, Donna Morrison, Ed Reiter, Marg Andrews. 120803 Bernadette Balatti (Hirtle) just lost her daughter Charline to cancer; Charline had a beautiful joyous death, with her family around her. My prayers go with dear Charline! 120909 I was evacuated during Peachland Forest Fire today, what an experience, learned a lot! 121015 I think of Sr. Rudolph every now and then; she was such a good grade 12 teacher for us then, and was always kind to me, one of her shy ordinary pupils - think I'll send her some prayers today for a surprise! 121028 The Girls in the Hood, my St. Pat's buddies that lived nearby, get together every June and I just got some nice pictures of their last walk: Joy Paxton, Sharon Kelly, Bernadette Balatti, Mary Ann Boguski & sometimes Dola Vencenzi (now Marie Jordan-Knox) - next year I hope to join them, especially as I see my old home just off 16th and Main, is still intact. 121211 I hear our 55th Reunion is coming up next July 2013; Lorraine Orr, Sharon Kelly & others are working on it already; keep you posted, would be nice to see friends from others years coming too. 130211 So interesting that our Pope is resigning due to poor health - best fullest coverage on this I find, is on Sun News TV; and Canada's Cardinal Mark Ouellet seems to be on the short list. So glad I'm blessed with my faith, nurtured at St. Pat's of course, and able to have some discernment with what's going on right now. 130303 Our 55th Class Reunion will be July 13, 2013, first day at Newlands Golf Club in Langley, second day Mass at St. Patrick's at 11:00 then lunch somewhere nearby; invites going out shortly - hope many show up! 130401 We're getting replies now of who plans to attend our Reunion, if we miss anyone who wants to come, let us know even if you have to come on a Walker! 130423 OK our Reunion is in full swing for July 13th 2013 at Newland Golf Club Langley BC, all friends of our Class of '58 are welcome, the more the merrier I say! 130713 Our Reunion was a total success, best one ever, probably because we've all 'mellowed' and had lots to talk about. I even managed to find Sister Clara (Marie Tremblay) online, and she attended. On the Sunday we had mass at St. Pat's and met new priest Father James Hughes; the Filipino's in the parish now, always so friendly to us & interested to know our past in the parish; we received the St. Patricks Church book 1910-2010 booklet, very interesting coverage. 141021 Breaking my heart to have some dear St. Pat's classmates pass on recently: Eva Martin (Decker) Oct 6, 2014, Judy Rudland (Falconer) Sept. 13, 2014 & Ray Biscaro April 29, 2014 - sending my prayers to all. 150202 Still enjoying Peachland and relatively good health; Superbowl was great so was new microwave popcorn popper; had another snow hit yesterday; involved in some Family Tree stuff right now, all cool! 150519 My dear sister Marg Eyberson (Tonner) just passed away May 11, 2015 - all the Clan were together at St. Stephen's parish in North Vancouver to celebrate her extraordinary life, plus we heard a super Eulogy by Marg's son in law Paddy Moore. It was great to see classmate Sharon Messer (Kelly) at the service also.
