Kathy's Story
Workplace
After graduating from ECU with a degree in Social Work I went to work for the Department of Human Services in Ada, Oklahoma in 1986. I worked for DHS for 14 1/2 years at the Ada, Norman, and Wewoka offices. I left DHS for one year and worked for the Chickasaw Nation Health Services/Behavioral Health Department. Following my divorce I left that job and returned to DHS. I left DHS in 2001 to attend graduate school at OU & during my last semester of school returned to work for Chickasaw Nation with a program called Project Strong Family as a Program Therapist. I worked with them until recruited to work for McCall's in Ada where I had been serving as a board member. I was hired as an administrator assistant and later became administrator. After working there for over three years I left to pursue my own business called "All About You LLC, which has been extremely successful in such a short time of operation. We...Expand for more
provide staff to teach independent living skills to individuals with developmental disabilities living in their own homes.
I am married to Dempsey Mathis who is the Recreation Coordinator for the City of Ada. He also helps part time with our business. I have a 19 year old son, Jordan Parnacher, who attends Eastern Oklahoma State College in Wilburton. He plays basketball there. My daughter is 16 years old and is a Junior at Ada High School. She plays softball.
I have experienced more than my share of sickness and death beginning with my youngest brother, Ky Wilson. He passed away from Lou Gehrig's disease in June 2006. We lost our dad, Horace Wilson on October 7, 2007, and then our mother, Phyllis Wilson on September 8th, 2008.
I still play a little softball and volleyball so if you know of a tournament send the information my way.
I would love to hear from any of my schoolmates so send a message sometime.
