Kathy's Story
Life
My life has been much too complicated to list everything here.
I quit school in the 10th grade to leave home from an abusive relationship with a stepfather. I missed graduation and my friends. Some of my friends attended Forrest Hill, others attended John I Leonard. I attended Leonard for the first year only. Hoping to reconnect with some of my old classmates and some teachers. If it had not been for some of our teachers believing in me, I never would have made the 10th grade. To my surprise, after I got a GED, I went to college and ended up with a full scholarship and maintained a 4.0 average. (ME?) Can you believe it? I have a doctorate degree in counseling and work mostly with the poor,low income and with abused children, (like that's a surprise). I am not a rich Doctor in dollars but very rich in many other ways. I married a great guy at 22 and we had two children which are now 24 and 21. They live with me in Erie and attend college. close and loving. I am truly blessed and a very proud Mom. After 20 years of marriage my husband and I grew apart and went our separate ways. Its been six years now and I am doing well. I live in Erie PA which I absolutely love. I hated the heat in Florida. I'd like to marry again but finding that special someone is difficult these days. I date, but many singles are getting into relationships for all the wrong reasons. Its hard to believe in the 21st century, we still don't understand the meaning of love. Trying some of the online dating sites...it's been interesting. I still want the things money can't buy like a close friendship, funloving, slow to anger, and able to talk about anything without judgements.
Some of my hobbies include; balloom dancing, crafts, gardening, decorating, cooking, writing childrens books, reading and so much more. I enjoy music, bike riding, walking in our gorgeous state park, playing in the snow, movies, comedy clubs, entertaining friends and (some) family.
