Kathy's Story
Being the quintessential quiet, good girl, I was expected to do good things - like graduate from college. As it turned out, after high school I did go to UC Santa Cruz, but being restless, overemotional, and having no particular goal; and being too shy to seek direction, I dropped out after 7 quarters. Blew the minds of UCSC friends by going to secretarial college, of all things, which was every bit as unliberated as it sounds, and worked as a secretary in a bank for about a year, which was exactly as mind-numbingly dull as it sounds. o) whom I had met on a walk through Glen Park in S.F. Had two lovely girls (the bride and maid of honor in purple in the photo), raised them, then went to work at Los Medanos Community College in Pittsburg, where I had been taking classes for several years (I have lots and lots and lots of units, but still no degree). I currently work as an Admin Assistant in Student Services at the college - the most wonderful place to work in the world! Got out of religion a few years ago and accidentally ran into God (Spirit, All That Is, Love) - go figure. I love reading, walking in the woods, meditating, laughing a lot, eclectic spirituality, and large-hearted, conscious people.
