Kathy's Story
Life
In a nutshell, I married Glen Zellers in 1977. We had two children: Amanda in 1983 and Brian in 1986. We divorced in 1999, and shortly thereafter Glen had an untimely death. I met my current husband, John Pratt, later that year. We married in 2001, and I relocated to his home in Colorado, where I lived until 2021. I lost my son in a car accident in 2005, just a month after his 19th birthday, and that left a huge hole in my life and my heart, but my daughter is doing well and also settled in Colorado where she met the man who would become her husband in 2010. Not long after their marriage they relocated to Florida.

When I lived in Arizona, I worked in the Finance Department for the City of Mesa for over 19 years, until I left there to relocate to Colorado. I then worked in the Finance Department for the State of Colorado Department of Corrections until my husband and I retired in 2017.
We embraced the retirement lifestyle in late 2020-2021 when we decided to move EAST. We first purchased a summer home in a small town in central New York where my husband grew up and still has lots of family. A few months later we sold our Colorado home and started our search for a main residence in a small town in northeast Florida, near my daughter's family, which we purchased in late 2021 in time to avoid the NY winter.
