Katja's Story
Life
On 11-5-94, I married my high school sweetheart, Shane Lowrance. I was a sophomore at the University of North Texas. I graduated in Dec.
of '96 from UNT with a teaching degree in special
ed. Three weeks later, on 1-8-97, I had our 1st
son, Jordan. Within 6 months of Jordan's arrival, I had a career change. I decided to become a stay at home mom. I couldn't stand being away from my baby. Well, my career has really "blossomed" since then. On December 25, 1998, our 2nd son Daniel was born. Then came Nathan on October 2, 2000. Shelby brought us a splash of pink on June 14th, 2002. es, you counted correctly. Katja has "6" kids. They were all planned, no twins, and I gave birth to them all the old fashioned way. ;) Shane is a field service tech in the semiconductor industry. Austin was good to us there for a long time, but inevitably, he finally lost his job in one of the layoff rounds you always hear about. This brought about a major move for us. We now live in the Richmond, VA area where Shane landed a wonderful new job at Infineon Technologies. We miss TX, but the change has been nice and we're really enjoying our new lives here. As long as we know we're doing the best for our "little" family, it really doesn't matter where we need to be at. We'll make the best of anything. :)
