Kay's Story
For 24 years I taught reading, reading intervention, and/or high school English. I started my teaching career in KS, moved to TX, then to OK, and then back to TX. 12 years ago I was one of the many teachers who were let go because of budget cuts. I tutored and substitute taught for a few years.. I miss the students and my colleagues, but not all of the lesson planning, grading papers, and politics. My late husband Jack and I moved to Wichita Falls in February of 2017. Between us we have four kids and six grandkids and two great-granddaughters...Expand for more
.. Most of our traveling was to see grandkids, other relatives, and friends. I've been to New Zealand twice, once with my sister Carol and the second time with Jack, three siblings and their spouses, and nieces and nephews. It has been fun catching up on news from my high school friends here on classmates.com. When I get back to Altamont or Parsons, I don't seem to have any time to contact any of you still living in the area. We do have good visits though when we see each other in Wal-Mart! If any of you are ever in this area come and visit.
