I was born and raised in Newnan, Georgia, but I have been in Florida long enough to be an "honorary" native. I 've been married to my husband, Gary, for 25 years. He is currently serving his third term as mayor of our town. He has a son, Mike, from a previous marriage, who is also married, to the sweet and lovely, Jenny. I could never decide what I wanted to be when I grew up, so I guess I tried a little bit of everything, including teaching nursery school (when I was much, much, younger and had nerves of steel). I was also a waitress/model, a pharmacy assistant, and a bookeeper. But my first love has always been writing, even if it didn't pay the bills. I 've been writing since I was a teenager, heavily influenced by the work of Kathleen Woodiwiss and Margaret Mitchell.
