Kay/Kayrene's Story
After 30 years as a child custody mediator with Family Court Services., I retired on 6/04/11. I could write a book about my experiences in Family Court! Somehow, my part-time private psychotherapy practice rapidly expanded into a full-time job. Now I accept Court referrals for private child custody mediation and co-parent counseling, in addition to practicing psychotherapy. I should have burned out long ago, but I still love my work! I hope to start traveling around the world very soon! Anyone up for traveling?
Living in the San Francisco Bay Area allows me to enjoy watching my two favorite teams: the San Francisco 49ers (football) and the San Francisco Giants (baseball.) The Giants' stadium, AT&T Park, is the most scenic & friendly...Expand for more
ball park in America. Two of the recent greatest days in my life were when the Giants won the World Series in 2010 and again in 2012. Now for the Super Bowl...GO NINERS!!!!
My two adult children, Darrah & Brian, with whom I grew up in the 60's, both live nearby. Despite my total ignorance in parenting, they both turned out to be really honorable, intelligent and humerous people with good mates. My "main man" is Pinto, a Shih Tsu with pinto pony coloring. He thinks that he is a pit bull. Tom, my domestic partner of 20 years, died of pulmonary fibrosis in August 2010, so I am living alone for the 1st time in my life! I actually like it!
Can't wait to catch up with everyone at our 50th reunion in August 2013. Be there or be square.
