I graduated from La Reine in 1965 and returned to Oahu, Hawaii to live with my grandparents. During the summer I worked for the City & County of Honolulu in the Planning Department. I am married, have five children, 16 grand-children and 5 great-grand-children. They range in ages from 4 months to to 49 years. So as you can see, there is never a dull moment in my life when it comes to family. Favorite past time of the grand kids is to take "grandma" shopping. Of course on my dime. I worked for Continental Airlines as a Ticket Agent in Waikiki for 12 years and got to travel and see the world with my children. Those were fun days. Traveling one of my passions and still is. I also worked part-time as a Theater Manager for Consolidated Theaters in Waikiki and managed the Waikiki #3, Waikiki #1 & #2 and the IMAX Theaters. I never had so many friends during the 13 years that I worked there. Everyone was my friend so they could see a free movie. But the job was great! And I am a people person and like to connect with friends. I presently work at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel or more noted as the "Pink Palace" right on the Beach in Waikiki. I am the Catering/Convention Services Manager in Food/Beverage who specializes in "Weddings, Destination Weddings, Social Events and VIP Company Events". I love doing weddings and helping to create and make dreams come true. Brides are very special. Working with them from the beginning to the end is such a fullfilling moment. Basically the party planner. So you can't knock the job for it's constantly meeting people and making things happen! At the moment I am married to a wonderful man who works for Matson Navigation on the waterfront. We love to travel and explore the world since I am an employee of Starwood Hotels Worldwide and get such great discounts off of hotel rates and food/beverage.
