Raymond's Story
Life
Well, it's been a while since I saw everyone at the 1988 reunion. Lot's have happened in my life since we graduated in 1978...I left for the Air Force right after school and spent 4 years there as a Crew Chief on F-15 Eagles based in New Mexico. Spent a little time in Germany with our Squadron. I seperated from the military in 1982 and came back to Denton where I led a life of trouble and outlawship. We left Denton in 1985 moving to Austin to hide from all things. Moved from Austin in 1991 to Marble Falls where I still currently live.
We have 3 children, Tristian is 23, married with no children living in Horseshoe Bay here in the Hill Country close to Marble Falls. Next is Trey (Raymond III) who is 18 almost 19 and just graduated from Marble Falls High School. He has started his own business doing irrigation and lawn care, doing very well I might add. Then our baby, Kersh, who is 17 and will be a junior this coming school year.
I spent many many years in the automotive field with over 20 years in the GM Dealerships, the last 8 of those as a Fixed Operations Director (Parts and Service Director). 4 1/2 years ago I left GM and started my own business building Hot Rods and Custom Cars, Ray's Radical Rides in Horseshoe Bay, Texas. ife will change a person especially when God gets a hold of you. In June of 2000 I was dieing of lung cancer, had irreversible nerve damage in my lower back and legs plus a ton of other physical problems because of a life of being an outlaw. I smoked 3 packs of cigs a day, drank unknown anounts of alcohol and lived a life of heavy drug use. I went to a church revival in Austin, (hadn't darkened the church doors since junior high) with my wife Cricket and there an Evangelist called me out of the congregation and proceeded to tell me things that no one knew except for Cricket and I. She told me about my back, my lungs, lots of things then said that God wanted to change me and heal me. After a 5 minute prayer I found myself laying on my back in what seemed to be fire!! As I was sitting up she came over and told me that when I stood up my lungs would be healed to. Since that day I have been completely healed in all areas of my physical and spiritual life. I started preaching the gospel 4 years ago and I am a licensed minister working on Ordination which should happen sometime next year, PRAISE GOD!!!!
