Keith's Story
Amazing! It doesn't seem like PHS graduation was 45 years ago. I can still feel the hot 2 a days in Madison, Wisconsin preparing for my first college football season at UW.
After 5 years in Madison, I moved to downtown Chicago living in a high-rise on the 38th floor across from the Hancock building. What a great life!
I started in the medical device indusrtry assisting and managing the implantation of heart pacemakers and ICD's throughout the Chicago area. I was transferred to Atlanta, Georgia to develop the Southeast market for the same industry.
Still a "jock", softball, scuba-diving, golf and tennis was the standard for almost year-round perfect weather. Atlanta is a great city to live and raise a family.
I developed a "second career" in radio and TV broadcasting in Atlanta. I became the Sports Director for a new AM radio station, doing the sports segments during the AM/PM drive time hourly sports segments. The next opportunity was the Weekend Sports Anchor on the Georgia Radio Sports Network for varying length sports reports throughout the state's radio stations.

post-game scoreboard show and a Sunday night live sports show on TV was awesome. My sons enjoyed the "perks" of free food along with Falcons, Hawks and Braves great seats! They really liked it when I covered the Cubs when they came to town - they got to meet their "idols" on WGN and TBS.
After 10 years I was moved to Memphis, Tennessee to do the same thing for the Mid-South market. It was very rewarding to build that market and continue with broadcasting. I didn't have time for TV, I was approached to host and produce a radio afternoon talk show. I did this for 5 years on a 50,000 watt clear channel station that was heard in roughly 6 states. Needless to say, the callers were quite interesting and opinionated on politics and any subject of the day. Suffice it to say, emotions ran at a high level and the station had to better "screen" the callers!
My family is now back in the Midwest, both sons wanted to attend college where "Dad went" and be a Badger! We packed up and relocated to Wisconsin (In state vs. Out of state is a no brainer).
We love being back "home" (other than the snow and ice!) and hope to connect with as many Knights as possible.
