Kelli's Story
I was born and raised in Bakersfield, went to Beardsley up through mid 7th Grade and graduated from West High School in 1981. I got married a few months after High School graduation and had four daughters. In 1996 we moved to the Roanoke, VA area (with one of those years living in the Greenville, SC area). Nineteen years later I still miss California nine months out of the year. I do love Autumn on the east coast. The colors, smells, crisp air, etc is amazing. Bakersfield does not 'do' fall and for that I do love it here those three months!
Sadly, my 1st marriage ended, but I did re-marry a wonderful man (who happens to be from Northern Ireland). And yes, I have visited Ireland 3 times and London once for a proper visit ( i.e. outside the airport).
After my children had all in school, I worked in various office jobs and once I went to work full time, I worked in two major call centers Wachovia Bank (now Wells Fargo) and Liberty Medical. a and the collateral damage it had caused over 15+ years along with a badly damaged (cervical) spine, I was rendered fully disabled in 2014.
This was not my dream for this time in my life, but it is what it is. Because of these issues, most things that people take for granted are at best, challenging for me. Nonetheless, I smile and ride the tide. I do my best to educated bout Fibro awareness and balance the center of my life (God first in all) and my two precious Grandchildren. My kids are grown and all doing well. I was a young Mom so I am a young "Mammo"..... lucky for me!
I am an aviation geek, love writing, paranormal investigator (talk about a wonderful & wacky hobby!), paper crafting, reading and a good movie. My passions also include travel, museums, Art (especially impressionism) and music. Music is like air to me: cannot live without it!
