Kellie's Story
I still live in the same place, one space over, that I lived in when I was in high school! I have an adorable house right next door to my parents. I went to work with the Escambia County Sheriff's Office in '87 and have been there ever since. I've had severe depression all my life and I finally got some help in 1994, right at the time I needed it most. Life got a lot better on drugs! (Joke! I discovered a juvenile sense of humor after medication). I love my job, I've got great coworkers, and it's the type of place that changes a lot over time so I'm never bored. ch in the evening, garden, swim, and read read read! My sister got married and has two gorgeous teen-age daughters. My brother moved to Columbus Ohio in '95 and we're lucky if we see him once very five years, but we stay in touch. My mom died in '04 and my dad is still going strong. I have some really great friends too, who've helped me through some rough times (things get dicey with the depression every now and then). I like staying at home and get plenty enough excitement at work. Bomb scares! Lock downs! Stings and busts! I still remember the day the hall down from my office was filled with 7' tall marijuana plants from a big bust! Fragrant! So my life is quiet but full and peaceful, and that's all I could hope for.
