Kelly's Story
After high school I went on to college to earn a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry. I wasn't psyched to continue to grad school or to spend my career as a bench chemist, so I started working as a scientific writer for a pharmaceutical company.
I continued my career as a technical writer, branched out into training and instructional design, eventually becoming the Associate Director of Technical Publications at a biotech software company in Orange County where I've worked for the past 7 years.

ning for five years, I earned my 1st degree black belt in 7 Star Praying Mantis Kung Fu. I taught kung fu to kids and families until 2006. I also conducted workshops in self defense for women and spoke about bullying at several Orange County elementary schools.
I'm Christian and active member of a small, funky, non-denominational church where everybody knows my name.
In my free time, I enjoy working with fiber--weaving baskets, spinning yarn, knitting and weaving--and have a private fiber studio in my home.
