My family and I live in Germany in the Rheinland Pfalz region. at gas is so expensive (regular unleaded is at $9.97 a gallon). We don't pay quite that much on base, so as long as we stay in Germany we're okay. But when we travel outside of the country it costs us about $200 each time we fill the tank. I guess it's worth it. I really have enjoyed getting reconnected with my old friends!
