Life
Hey there! Just wanted to try this out and see if I can get ahold of anyone I used to know. It's been a few years since I graduated and things have been almost non-stop for me. I have not married, and no kids. But I have met a wonderful man who is in my now picture. I don't even have a pet! I don't slow down enough to do that much. But I am in Montana for a couple more months with my sisters. Just got back from Iraq and hanging out for a little with them till I get out of this cold state! Man I miss the south. But anyway, for those of you that might remember me and may want to get in touch...I am more than willing to write back. So drop me a line and tell me what's up! Take care!
Military
Wow, my military service. Well, most of you that know me are also from the same backround that I am. A military brat all the way. So when we end up joining the military it is almost no surprise...to some. Others, that have not experienced it to much think that we would be more inclined to stay away since we have gone through the moving and making new friends one too many times. I am, apparently, no exception to the military progression rule. Accept in my case I went with the service I grew up around and then changed over to one my parents wanted to ...Expand for more
shoot me for. I joined the Air Force in 2000, about a month after I graduated. Spent 6 glorious weeks at Lackland AFB, TX for basic training. Then I headed to Sheppard AFB, TX where I spent 1 1/2 months before moving to Keesler AFB, MS for 6 months of time served to become an Information Manager! (YUCK!) I then headed to beautiful and much sought after Tyndall AFB, FL to finish off my sentence with the military, ending it in 2002. After I got out, I spent a year and a half trying to make it as a civilian and failed miserabley. So I decided to go hard core (yeah-right) and joined up with the Montana Army National Guard. I came in as a UH-60 Blackhawk Mechanic at the end of 2003. I headed to Ft. Eustis, VA for 4 months of training, came back to Montana for a couple months of R&R and headed out again in 2004. This time I was going to Ft. Sill, OK to start mobilizing for Iraq! Yeah! After just short of 4 months, I headed to Iraq with my battalion, hitting Kuwait first for a couple of weeks on the 1st day of 2005! Happy New Year to us. After 10 and a half months (thank goodness the active duty hates us so much they wanted us gone, and cut our time a little short) we headed back to OK for demob and now we are home. Just glad to be back for the holidays!
