Laurie's Story
Except for about 18 months of living in L.A. in the early 80's , I've remained in Las Vegas. I'm a second generation native. I bet there's a lot of natives coming from our high school era.
Two short marriages, no kids. Guess it took me longer than most to figure out what I want out of life! It's been a great journey, most of the time!
Single 11 years until this Christmas Eve '08. Married Fellow Western grad '75, Marty Hoenisch. He just retired from the San Jose Fire Dept. this past Jan. We have a 2 state marriage at this time. His primary in Santa Cruz County, Cal., mine here. Our goal is for me to be there full-time by early 2010 or sooner.

us careers, at least that's what I call my job hopping, but for the past decade I've been in residential real estate and love it! I have a lovely client base and feel truly blessed to be able to make a living doing something I really enjoy. Our economy has been making it a bit tough to keep my spirits up at times, but I'm doing O.K. and that's a good thing.
Marty & I are not sure where we want to retire. His area of California is expensive, but his children are there and we will remain there until they are out of school. Still have a few years to figure it out, but we definitely want to live near water and/or mountains. I've been a desert rat far too long!
