Kelly's Story
I am currently living in Las Vegas with my husband and little menagerie of animals. My husband is a Project manager for MGM/Mirage corporation. I am the personal assistant to Vince Neil of the rock band Motley Crue. I have been working for them for almost 4 years. I feel very lucky to be able to commute back and forth from the Bay Area every month or so. Where I still own three minature horses whom are currently living with a friend in Danville. I decided to not have children. Right after we were married, I opened a flower shop on main street in Pleasanton. After a year, I expanded to be a "full event salon" where we did hair, make up and flowers for special ocassions. There is a real down side to wanting your business to be sucessful. s had passed and I just felt I had lost myself in my work. I really was miserable. I decided to just limit my clientel so I was not working so much. It back-fired. People wanted our stuff more. So, one day I put it up for sale. Thank God it sold in less than a week for cash. I took off for Vegas, totally unemployed, no home and a wad of cash. What the hell, I needed an adventure. My family went through a phase of dis-owning us. They assumed we would hate it. No, just the opposite. Vegas is not for everyone. The heat, the casinos and all of the drunks on the road. Somehow, it just works for us. My work is never normal. I travel some months more than I am home. Nevertheless, when I arrive back to see slot machines the minute I get off the plane, I know I am home...Well, for now.
