Kelly's Story
Just a mom of three boys barely have time to myself now. I work after La'james, in and out of work, then I worked at My favorite Place in the world, Bummer they had to close! :( Beauty Mart then I worked at Rocky as a sub caferteria worker, then got my job where I have been for eighteen years . I like it, St. Anthony's nursing home.
We are a very busy person. I miss my friends, my TRUE friends. My best friend has always been Amy Goman that will never change. We see each other time to time Amy Goman and I have seen some of our classmates time to time.
My work is upgraded to St. Anthony's Nursing and Rehabilitation Center,L.L.C. . I am more now a laundry personel which is OK with me. I also sub as a playground supervisor at the Rock Island Intermediate Academy.
We cleaned up our yard which really needed a trimming, going through stuff now throwing out and going to see the stuff I want to sale so I have money for the payment on house. So been busy and then with school stuff I am the treasurer for the PTA of the Academies. So that's a responsiblity in its own.
Other than that nothing else new one year older and taking care of my family!
Hope to hear from lost contacts but its ok, if no one wants to talk to me. I am getting used to that now.
Oh in case anyone is wondering why I have Centennial High School in my Profile, it was my mother's high school and I wanted to talk to some of her friends from there....She was Julie Sobieck and graduated in June 1974 obviously I wasn't born then. I was born a year later.
School
I went to Rocky from 1990-1994, I was not popular, I would consider myself a in-betweeny, meaning I was not popular in with the crowds type. I had friends in ALL circles. I was a band friend, in Treble choir, cross country. Love my friends, lost a lot of contact with lots and gained friends who I never thought would ever be a friend! I live by her Dad. I see some of my friends at work. You really don't know who your friends are til after high school who are your true friends! And Someone even grew up more than I can say about someone who I truly thought was a friend who liked to stab me in the back and YES you know who you are, but I forgive you because that is what a christian I am, but the trust HUN is totally gone! be a sahm and boy is he a mommy's boy now almost fourteen. I decided about a year later to try out cosmetology school and graduated in March of 1996, then took about a year and half off and worked in various salons on and off, last Salon I worked at was Mastercuts in the mall. They screwed me and then I went to Beauty Mart, my favorite place to work, I had learned lots there and miss all my customers! Now I am thinking of becoming a CNA, a friend at work is getting me some info on that! Only a 6 weeks program....I also am getting trained to be a teachers aide in my spare time because someone told me, I would be good at that and I can easily get recommended for a job by Andy's third grade teacher. I kept all my thank you cards from his class! I lOVE KIDS! I want to make a difference in their lives!
College
No REAL COLLEGE, A vocational college LA'James college of Cosmetology. It was fun for 11 months, we learned how to cut hair, do perms which wasn't hard. We got all pedicures and manicures others didn't want to do so I can become a Perm specialist. I learned how to do nails not really my thing, but can do them proably not now but then I could. I am now thinking of becoming a Cna, and a teachers aide! Teachers Aide I am doing through PCDI and Cna Blackhawk if I can. This is it for college bio, yes a boring life I know. I am currently taken classes at the Nea building, testing is tomorrow at 8-11 so wish me luck.
Workplace
I had worked in Hungry Hobo in 1993 for a month, then found out I was pg not that stopped me. A night supervisor just didn't like me. So then I didn't work for a while next place I worked was Hair Classics, they were into themselves big time only help who they wanted to. So then I didn't work there anymore. I also worked in the Venture store salon for a short period, and then Mastercuts. Beauty Mart (2 yrs) and Montergomery for a little while. I worked in Rocky as I said before sub as a cafateria lady, and other school was Hawthorne Irving BOY do those kids got some BIG time POTTY mouths! I am currently working as a laundry personel at St. Anthony's for three years. That's it on my work profile.
Military
I have not served in the military but am a Army Brat meaning I was born in the army when My dad was station in Colorado Springs, Colorado. I had been thinkingof joining but now that I have children I proably won't.
