Ken's Story
Well now almost all of us from 1986 are now 40!! How fast time has gone by! Well I just turned 40 and I have had to make some serious changes in the last 5 years. Back in 2003, I became ill and it took an awful turn for the worst. For nearly 5 years this mysterious condition baffled me and many doctors as well. But after moving to Arizona, I found a doctor who immediately suspected what was wrong with me and confirmed it 2 weeks after testing: I have Parkinson's Disease. As horrible as it sounds, I actually feel better now that I am on medicine and I am working for the first time in 5 years. I also had my ultimate dream come true. y who sang this and HOLDING OUT FOR A HERO as well (FOOTLOOSE). Well after I got my diagnosis I was able to drive alone to Las Vegas and see Bonnie Tyler perform LIVE for the first time ever! And I got a BONUS.....I got to meet her BACKSTAGE!!! She was so sweet and down to earth...She sang live better than she does on recordings she has a great voice and has more high pitch than many people realize, she uses the raspiness and her high and low pitches very well. She can sound very bluesy when she wants....she can even sound like JANIS JOPLIN!!!
Well anyway, just thought I would share part of my life and the fact that I am alive and doing better and hope to continue to fight this disorder that had me baffled for so long. Still not married and I have no children, but who knows what the future holds????????????
