Ken's Story
Hello everyone !
Just retired after 32 years in the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department. I am a computer idiot but figured that i should change all that now that i have more free time. I'm happily married to my wife Jill (Cross) a 1981 Mira Loma grad. She was a deputy with the Sheriff's Department but was forced to retire 7 years ago after having her broken back fused. She just got accepted into the R.N. Nursing program at American River College after going back to school to finish her nursing prereq classes. She earned 3 degrees doing it! We have Hannah 13 and Logan 10 who keep us busy. My older kids are Shannon 29 a school teacher in Clearwater, Florida and Bobby 23 who is a chef at the Kitchen Restaurant here in town and a film school major at C.S.U.S. I feel extremely blessed by all.
My older sister Georgia, Mira Loma grad 1973 passed away as did my twin sister Kathy, class of 1976. I moved back to the family home on Vassar Way in 2003 and tore down the family home and rebuilt a new home on the property. I love to hunt and fish and travel around the U.S. Now that i'm retired my wife is demanding trips outside the country!
