Life Ahhhh life, tis a wonderful thing! At 51 y/o, life is good. Most of the struggles of earlier years have found at least some measure of resolution. Once I was able to stop trying to figure out life and stopped asking 'why', it became much easier to live and enjoy it. Today, the confusion is gone. I am a happy, single gay man, have a cute dog named Abbey and am content in many areas of past discontent. A Denver native, but having lived elsewhere a number of times, I am back home again, enjoying being near my family and friends. Lately, I have been able to reconnect with a number of old friends and find that for the most part, they have arrived at the same point in life as I have. They have little or no trouble with my sexual orientation (a fear that kept me in the closet for many miserable years) and I have been pleased to catch up with their families and exploits. In 2003 I suffered a near-fatal infection in my spinal cord that has left me with some permanent disabilities, but the fact that I am alive causes me to wake up every morning, thankful for another day of life!
