Ken's Story
Life
After graduating from Byars-Hall, I attended Union University in Jackson. I graduated with a music degree, married Pam Agee (from Nashville), and became the band and choral director in Selmer. I also served as Minister of Music at the First Baptist Church. In 1974 Pam and I moved to Louisville, KY so that I could attend Southern Seminary. I graduated with a church music degree in 1976. In 1975 I became the Minister of Music at Scottsville Baptist Church in Scottsville, KY and have been there since that time. Our older daughter, Joy, is a church secretary in Louisville and our younger daughter, Amy, and her husband Mike Assad live in Memphis where she is a teacher.
2024 UPDATE: ...Expand for more
:Life was good and God provided a good living experience until 2006 in
February, I was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer and had seed radiation therapy. That went
went well, after a couple weeks recovery life returned to somewhat normal. On December 21, Joy came home to visit for Christmas. While standing behind the sofa, she just dropped to the floor. Pam and I knew something was drastically wrong, so she called 911 immediately. The ambulance in just a very few minutes but in that time Joy became completely unresponsive.
We went straight to the hospital and waited in the room with several of our church family with us (including the entire staff).
