Ken's Story
Life
I proposed to my (to be) wife after a whirwind 2 week romance at San Bernardino Valley College in September of 1962. We married in march of 1963 and have not been "happily ever after". But somehow we're still together. God drew me to Himself through my wife, Pat, who was raised in the Lutheran Christian faith. I confess Jesus as my Lord and Savior!
Pat and I have (WHAT???) two wonderful children (just like everybody else as "wonderful children"). Terri Anne, who lives in Washington state and Daniel who lives in the same town as we do. We have 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren so far. My daughter and I have a very close relationship.
For the event of our daughter's birth (04/03/1964) and the customery bills I became a meatcutter at Budget King Meats in San Bernardino. From there I got a Union ...Expand for more
meatcutting job at "Bert's" in Rialto and from there went to Alpha Beta. I switched to Safeway so we could be transfered here to Atascadero in 1971 and later in 1982 I worked for Lucky's. Most of my career I was a Meat Department Manager and also was very active in the Union.
When I retired from active work in 1997 I then worked directly for the Union for three years.
I am now most happily working at a local Pet Store as asst. mgr.
My most favorite pet(s) is/are...Bob (the parrot) and Tinker ( the Rotie/Rhodesian Ridgeback dog).
WE don't do anything very exciting, just enjoy what we have on a daily basis, backpack in the Sierras once a year and thank God for our blessings.
If you have just read this I would love to hear from you about what happened to you and where you're at now. May God bless you!!! Love, Ken
