Ken's Story
After graduating from R.M. I partied alot, small time jobs. Just broke up with Denise Dear. The Judge and I thought it might be a good idea to join the US Air Force. I was stationed over Ipswich, England(RAF Bentwaters). I was trained as a aircraft mechanic on jets. I worked on F-4D,E. Traveled through Europe (Italy,Denmark,Spain,Scottland,France 1 day, and Turkey. Did I forget to mrntion Amsterdam. Nice tea shops. Came back Stateside got out and moved to Grass Valley, Ca. when there was only 800 people.Got Saved. Accepted Jesus Christ. Stayed in G.V. for about 3yrs. Job finding&keeping hard in small town. Moved back to SoCal. Got job in Westlake at electronics firm testing assenbled PC boards. I met my wife Cindy Turner there and her sister Debbie married my brother Gerry Powers. Otherwise known as " The sisters from hell. " When I was married for nine years of slow, agonizing, over&over torture in Lancaster, Ca.I got job out at Edwards AFB. And go...Expand for more
t to work on some old F-4E's. They were used to follow air to air and ground to air missles. If the missles got off track our planes would shoot them down.That lasted about 4yrs of my marriage, got layed off. I did pool svc in San Fernando for 2-3yrs and a couple mor in Lancaster. Didn't have any children(low count) one of reasons for divorce. I got out of the pool business&marriage and started driving big rig I did that for seven years. I was driving down from Kansas City, KS to Houston,TX major accident I'm still in reconstructive surgery.Accident 10/06/00. 2 big rigs head-on collision at 65mph. Picture of myself after Nov-Dec 08. All surgeries complete. I currently live in Ojai,CA. And run a pool svc&repair "Walking On Water" Pool Svc. Thats kinda life in quick nutshell. Since I didn't have any children, I try and help out by supporting kids all around the world in orpanages, medical aid in war torn countries and the kids are such innocent victims
