Ken's Story
Life:
I can't believe it's been over 40 years since graduating from LAHS, WOW! I live in Chino, CA. I have been very blessed in my life owned a fiber optics company since 1992. It was great seeing everyone at our 40th in Temecula.
Besides living in Southern California since graduation, I lived in Antioch (Northern CA) and Boston, MA. I many interests, but enjoy riding Harleys with fellow classmate Phil Gargone and golfing with both Phil and my high school trouble making buddy Johnny Shubin.
School:
I have and lot of memories of the LAHS days. I remember cruising Whitter Blvd in my Yellow Baja Bug with Craig Felty, Tony Pineda, and Mark Gay. Ditching at lunch time with Johnny Shubin in his crazy white van to hit Del Taco was always an experience. It was especially fun to working at Rick's Arco and Phil's Exxon, since I was hanging out there anyways. Being student aid in auto shop had it's benefits, like working on my car for free.
Favorite Teacher:
Phil Colunga - Auto Shop
Worst Teacher:
Jim Muscato - Biology & Track
Mr. Colunga inspired me to never give up on my dreams and that I had what it took to succeed in life. I still hate Jim Muscato to this day, just kidding lol!

avorite Subject:
Auto Shop and girls!
Biggest Crush:
Too many to name lol! I guess it's a toss up between Bonita Guzman, Kathy Lawrence and Melissa Clapp.
Best LAHS Friends:
Tony Pineda, Mark Gay, Phil Gargone and Johnny Shubin
Biggest Regret:
Not asking out any of the girls I had crushes on and basically dropping all my LAHS friends after high school
If I could do it all over again, I'd take high school more seriously, have more self confidence and prepare for college instead of ending up at Mt SAC and wondering what to do with my life. Also, I'd never lose touch with my LAHS friends.
College:
After spending a couple of years at Mt. SAC getting my act together, I ended up attending Northeastern University in Boston and the University of Phoenix. I have a B.S.B.A degree and teach Fiber Optic Technician training courses.
Workplace:
I worked in a variety of professional sales environments for most of my working life. I started JM Fiber Optics in 1992 and have been going strong ever since.
Military:
Never did a stint in the military, but have a niece and nephew in Iraq right now. I've done a lot of work for the Navy, including training the Sea Bee's in fiber optics at GTMO, Cuba.
