Ken's Story
Since graduating, I've lived in Florida, Virginia, North Carolina, and China and recently celebrated my 31 year anniversary with my employer.
For the past 17 years, my job has offered much international travel and I've been able to make friends all over the world while ending up in places I never dreamed of visiting.
I am now on my second international work assignment and have been living in Asia for the past four years. My responsibility is the company's sourcing activities...Expand for more
in China and Southeast Asia. Expat life in Asia is not for the faint of heart - my colleagues joke with me that the company is punishing me, and while I've had my share of culture shock, really bad food, and painful an embarrassing moments, it actually has been one of the most rewarding experiences in my life.
One lesson, though, that I learned is to never forget your roots. I am most grateful for the warm and happy memories I hold from my school years and classmates like you.
