Ken's Story
I spent 1 year at Dixie College. 76-78 I was a Mormon missionary in Hong Kong. I returned to colorado springs and met my future wife. In 1979 I married Anita Solomon. We then had 3 sons in 4 years.I spent several years coaching youth basketball and soccer. I helped run local scouting programs off and on for the last 25 years. Recently I retired after 25 1/2 years as a UPS driver. Prior to retirement my wife and I celebrated with a 3 week trip to china. I enjoy hiking, occational travel, and reading. Once a month I say Thank God for the Teamsters Western Conference Pension fund. Currently I'm helping my wife beat Multiple Myeloma. We've been told that she's a good candidate for...Expand for more

We have 4 grand kids and. Last Dec. 2 1/2 year old Grey was looking at pictures in a magazine when he saw an add for Mr. Clean and became very excited. He ran to his mommy and said "Look mommy Grandpa Shaw." On Halloween I showed up at their house dressed as Mr. Clean and when Grey came to the door I said " Trick or treat, do you want the trick or the treat? Grey picked the bag of candy over the bottle of Mr. Clean. Recently I asked 4 yr old Gray to tell his baby cousin Theo about the fun adventures we would have when Theo gets bigger. Gray excitedly said someday we're going to go camping and to McDonald's.
