UPDATE 6/20/2010 Hello friends. it's been a challenge this year. Have felt the squeeze of the sandwich generation. I know we all do! It is hurtful to see old relationships fizzle out. Sometimes it's health, sometimes it's just time for a change. Living in today's world, we all have to be changemasters. Sadly, I lost Gala my beautiful German Shepherd dog. She was the greatest! I have been providing foster homes for Golden State German Shepherd Rescue and have been able to help save some beautiful dogs. Big Nick, went to a home with acres to run and play and Chopper 1/2 chow 1/2 German Shepherd, I addopted myself! He is the nicest boy and everyones friend. Although, I wouldn't mess with his people. I plan to keep fostering to save more dogs. It's a good feeling. We also took in Charlie Chaplin Cat. He was my Father-in-law's kitty that needed a place to live. So, we now have three cats and one dog. I always have been an animal lover. Recently, I accepted a volunteer position as the Treasurer for Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Lafayette. This fits in well with my mission to help people become financially secure. You may know I was once an alter boy. No, the padres were always gentlemen with me. However, the nuns were very tough. I recall vacuming their residences for punishment for missbehavior more than once. In fact, the place was spottless. LOL There is changes is in the air in my life. Being a professional planner, I always am thinking down the road. Brett, my son, had a GREAT freshman year in High School! It's the same school his Mom went too a few years back. I am so proud of my boy. We are begining to plan ahead for college. My job is going well because it fits what I want to do. I like to help people plan ahead for success. I enjoy finding out what it is people really want and help them achieve their goals. No more suits and ties too! After 25 years in banking, I paid my dues and will not return.
