Ken's Story

Life The journey has been interesting with challenges and triumphs. My career started at Azusa High School as a teacher and coach from 9/1968 until 8/1981. A stint with the US Army from 8/1969 until 5/1971 brought a different perspective to my life and gave me self-confidence that might not have been there before. After this, I held positions in school administration from Assistant Principal to Principal to Director of a regional School Leadership Center to Superintendent to High School Principal, to currrently, Director of Curriculum. My journey has taken me from Kelseyville to Santa Rosa, back to Kelseyville and now to Valley Center in North San Diego County. My two ...Expand for more
children, Jennifer (Conrad) and Amy (Wind) are married and living in Lake County. Both have two children and are doing well. I have divorced and re-married to a wonderful woman who has helped me and whom I can say is a true "partner." We moved to Temecula, and made a comfortable home. Outside of work I have been singing with the Temecula Valley Master Chorale which has allowed me to re-connect to my love of music and performing. We moved to Carlsbad to a condo in June of 2007. I retired in June of 2008 after 40 years as an educator. We look forward to enjoying retirement. Retirement is great, but the condo was too small. 2010 finds us in a golf course home in Vista, CA.
