Ken's Story

Life After graduation, I attended Southwest Texas State in San Marcos. I graduated from there with a Computer Science degree. I then went into the Air Force as a pilot. I flew F-111Ds, EF-111s, and F-16s. I am now a pilot for the Delta Connection and a Captain on the Canadair CL-65-700 Jet. I'm retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Air National Guard. I live in Flower Mound, TX (DFW area) with my wife, Claudia, a teacher, and our children Kendall (18) and Christopher (14). Military I attended USAF Officer Training School at Lackland AFB. UPT was Class 82-08 at Reese AFB, TX. I then flew the F-111D with the Crusaders of the 523rd Tactical Fighter Squadron at Cannon AFB, NM. e I flew the EF-111A Raven with the 390th Electronic Combat Squadron. From there I went to Ft. Hood, TX for 2 years as an Air Liaison Officer to the Army. I was then trained in the F-16 and moved to Misawa Air Base in Northern Japan and flew with the 14th Fighter Squadron, the Samurais. I separated from the USAF after that tour and joined the 122nd Air Support Operations Squadron, Louisiana Air National Guard. I've been the Chief of Maintenance, A Flight Commander, the Weapons and Tactics Officer, Chief of Stan/Eval and eventually the Operations Officer. In 2011, I transferred to the 146th Air Support Operations Squadron in Oklahoma City where I was the Acting Commander. I retired as a Lieutenant Colonel on 1 June 2012.
