Kendra's Story
Life
Graduated summa cum laude from University of Maryland College Park on scholarships in '93 with a degree in nuclear engineering- spoke at graduation. Went to grad school on fellowships at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Earned M.S. and Ph.D. in nuclear engineering from U of I. Married Steve in '94. Did Ph.D. research in Denmark. First job was with General Dynamics in Arlington, Virginia for 6 years as a nuclear scientist and project manager. Moved to Austin, TX in 2002 ...Expand for more
for Steve to take a professorship position at the University of Texas. My son, Kenny, was born in 2003. I work for the University of Texas as a part-time research engineer. In 2006, we created K&S Nuclear, LLC as a nuclear engineering consulting company. Daughter, Christa, was born in 2007. I used to do exciting things like rock climbing, Irish dancing, ballroom dancing, etc., but now I am lucky to get out for a walk in the neighborhood. ;) I hope all is well with everyone.
