Kenneth's Story
Life
Worked at Mass Mutual from 1955 to 1959. Married a co-worker and had 3 kids. Divorced.
Enlisted in Marine Corps in 1961.
Remarried in 1965, no kids.
1983 was a great year for me. Finally achieved a bachelor's degree, major in accounting, minor in financial management. Also divorced this year. Retired from Marine Corps also (2nd wife was major contributor to decision to retire prior to achieving 30 years of active duty.
One full tour of duty in Vietnam, with an infantry battalion, plus one "special" trip to a location north of Dong Ha.
Remarried in 1985, this one will last. We have seven kids between us, eight grandkids (we have full legal custody of ...Expand for more
one who is keeping us young). A 13-year-old boy involved in school, Nintendo, chat rooms, etc.
Since 1977, I have had an excellent relationship with the 3 boys I "lost" in my first divorce.
My current wife is Wanda and we work together in real estate sales. I have 21 years experience, she has 30. We will be retiring soon (?). We feel the need to continue with some income from real estate because of the needs of our grandson, but will continue working on a reduced basis.
