Life
Hah, just found this dude.
After school I left for the Navy, over the course of 22 years I lived in quite a few places. Got to do some interesting things and saw quite a bit of the blue marble when I could get periscope liberty (a submarine thing). Met Linda in Hawaii in the early 70's. Got married in 1981 (yes, I know slow off the blocks). I retired in 1987 and went back to the states just outside of Phildelphia. Felt like a stranger in my own land. Good chesse steaks and hoagies though!
I found a job in England just outside of Harrogate which for those of you who read James Herriot is just on the edge of the country side he writes about. I always wind up taking people who come to visit to Thirsk which is where the real practice was at. A...Expand for more
t any rate, this is God's country as long as you like your weather wet and understand that the definition of a heat wave is three days straight of 80 degree weather. I have hopes of retiring here after living here for thirteen years . I've been in the Harrogate Lions since I got here, and as a result, all of my friends are Brits. I keep telling them I came here to keep them straight. For some reason they they make rude remarks about Yanks and sometimes refer to me as Homer!
After the Navy I refuse to take much of anything seriously. If I figure out how to cut & paste a recent picture I'll let you see how good looking I am now (except I have gained some weight(okay a lot!) and have about 10% of the hair I had in 66.
