Kenneth's Story
Kenneth's schools include Roosevelt High School. Kenneth later attended Alaska Pacific University. Kenneth works(ed) at Military Army Retired Airborne. I spent 26years and 7 months in the U.S. Army, I was on Airborne status for seventeen years. I was a master parachutist, and retired a Master Seargeant. I spent time in the Military, and was stationed, in the countries of Okinawa, the Phillippines, Thailand, Panama, and five years in Alaska. I was in two combat tours. d became a GS-11 step 10. I retired from that job in 2008. With 22 years and 2 months at that job. My total Federal service is 48 years and 9 months. I first arrived at Fort Bragg NC. In 1963, I was in D Co 1St Special Forces Group, on Okinawa. That is where I went through basic Airborne Training, run by 1ST SFG. My SF Team went to Vietnam, and I was shipped to Fort Bragg. I got married in 1965, I have two sons, Douglas Keith Nelson, and Paul Kelly Nelson. They both live in Fayetteville NC. My first wife Blanche E. Nelson, passed away in Aug 2010. I married my current wife Jackie H. Nelson, a retired Nurse, 8 Sept 2012. We will be celebrating our third year on the 8th of Sept 2015.
