Kenneth's Story
Life:
Started elementary school in Leeds, Alabama in 1946. Attended through the 5th grade and moved to Oak Ridge, Tennessee in July 1951 where I enetered the 6th grade in the fall. I was "double promoted" to the eight grade and went on to ORHS in 1953. I graduated from Oak Ridge High School in 1957. Carpooled to the University of Tennessee majoring in Mechanical Engineering. Married Brenda Greene (ORHS Class of 1960) on September 3, 1960. I took advanced Army ROTC and upon graduation in 1961, I spent 3 years in the Army as an Ordnance Corps Lieutenant at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland and Redstone Arsenal, Alabama.
I worked a couple of years in Aerospace Engineering in Huntsville, Alabama, then worked as a Design Engineer in the Chemical and Nuclear fields. Returned to UT in 1970 and earned a Masters Degree in B...Expand for more

I was named to Who's Who in Cities Service Company in 1976. Retired as an Operations Manager from Lockheed Martin Energy Systems in 1999, after 26 years of company service.
Raised three kids, all graduted from the University of Tennessee, all married, with 2 children each.
Spare time activities: I ran the Rocket City Marathon in Huntsville, AL for 25 consecutive years from 1980 to 2004. I took a year off and then ran it again with my son-in-law in 2006.
Active in the Baptist Church. Actively support ORHS 1957 Class reunions, meetings, and Newsletter.
Brenda and I live in a Townhouse, next door to Max Brewer (ORHS 1956) and Joyce Copeland Brewer (ORHS 1960) at 1 Breakers Court, Clinton, TN 37716.
