Ken's Story
Life
Ken Waissman - Tony winning Producer. His producing efforts have resulted in 4 motion pictures, a PBS special, 25 Tony Award nominations, 5 Tony Awards and a personal Tony Award as ÂBest Play Producer. Between New York, Road Tours and LondonÂs West End, he has produced more than 2 dozen legitimate stage productions.
He was last represented on Broadway in the Â97-Â98 season by the musical STREET CORNER SYMPHONY.
His track record includes BroadwayÂs two longest-running dramas of the 1980's: AGNES OF GOD (Elizabeth Ashley, Geraldine Page & Amanda Plummer and TORCH SONG TRILOGY which won Tony Awards for 'Best Play' and 'Best Actor.'
He is best known for GREASE which ran on 3,882 performances, making it at the time, the longest running show (play or musical) in Broadway history! The movie version became the highest grossing musical feature ever.
