Kenneth's Story

Life Left Clanton to go to college at Samford in Birmingham. During and after college worked for Parisian. Got married to Lynn Mercier Smith from St Pete Florida. Worked for Alabama Gas and helped out Clanton's own "HALO" (Christian Rock Group)for several years. Moved to Hoover and still live here. Worked for Pella Windows in the 90's had a son Joshua Mercier in 95. Then worked for Prime Development and GeoStone. During this time I have been active in Christian Music and Soccer. In 93 I started coaching Hoover High School Soccer until 2000. When I started working in 2001 as our Youth Pastor at my church. Tried to go to seminary but it did not work out. So I received a job offer in early 2002 to stay in retaining wall business by working for a company from Tacoma WA, WestBlock Systems. I have been there for 5 years now and get to travel the US. y. Update: In Jan 2004 received my soccer coaching National "B" license. After coaching boys for over 12 years I am now coaching U18 girls competitive team and surprised by how much I am enjoying coaching girls. PHOTO, I am the old guy in the middle in red! Update 2007. Back in 1993 We have a great young man Jeferson Sa from Recife' Brazil come live with Lynn and I (Lynn speaks Spanish, Portugese and German). Jef has been like our elder son ever since, Joshua even calls him his Brazilian brother. In 2002 Jef got marriage to Raissa and today Jan 29 2007 Lynn and I become grandparents. College Other than learning, playing soccer and working, I lived Animal House Workplace I am a marketing and training rep for WestBlock Systems in Tacoma, WA. I primarily work from the house and on the road. We do segmental retaining walls. I am also the Director of Coaching for the Trussville Soccer Club.
