Kenneth's Story
After high school I attended Defiance College for two years (trying that football thing...even there I was too small and slow....in my mind I was still as large and fast as Lawrence Taylor...all well we all have our own delusions). I finished my post high school education at the University of Akron in 1984. In early 85 I went to work at Bailey Controls in Wickliffe where I stayed for two years. I soon realized that the corporate world wasn't for me and I then began my career on "Wall Street" as a salesman with Kidder Peabody & Company. Now 21 years later and five companies later (I only moved once...the companies keep getting bought out) am with Stifel Nicolaus in Pepper Pike Ohio.
My wife and I met in 1982 at Defiance College and began dating in 1986 and where married in 1989. My best man was Bob Zalewski whom I have know since the first day of first grade at...Expand for more
Royalview elementary. I will have been married for 20 years in October. Our family lives in Concord. My wife and I have three children a 10th grader at University School, 9th grader at Hathaway Brown and kindergartner at Andrews Osborne.
In my part/full time I have a cut your own Christmas Tree farm which really is an avocation. Our farm is located around the corner from our house in Concord and is called Mountain Creek Tree Farm. We grow over 20,000 Christmas trees on 52 acres. It's a lot of physical work but it really is fun. Not to mention selling trees to families at Christmas is awesome. Each Christmas season I get to see former North grads and friends and their families which I really look forward to.
Hope all is well with everyone. Stay happy and enjoy every day like it's your last. You never know how long the dance will last.
Best always,
Ken
