Kenneth's Story
Some may remember that I was always involved in science. Mr. Walker was my mentor for science fair projects. I attended Western Michigan University and graduated in 1969 with a BS in chemistry. I immediately entered the US Air Force and became a pilot. I flew a C-141 transport primarily between Travis AFB, California and locations in Asia (Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, Korea, Taiwan, Okinawa, Japan, etc.). Research at S. C. Johnson, Racine, Wisconsin in 1979. Anita, a Kenosha middle-school social-studies teacher and I were married in 1981. Our daughter Christa was born 1987 and our son Mike was born 1988. Anita and I retired in 2009 but I continue to consult in chemistry. Christa graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison majoring in chemistry and from Des Moines University as a DO. Mike graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee majoring in social work. When I am not working and doing family activities, I volunteer with local veterans groups.
