Kenny's Story
Life
Hi everyone.
I'm living in Nashville with my wife, Michelle, and two children, Eli and Ava. All is well. I am blessed much more than I deserve and I thank God through Jesus that I have not reaped what I have sown.
After high school, rather than go to college I continued working at various jobs while focusing most of my attention on music and playing gigs with The Earthtones. Though I confess, my "focus" was not what it needed to be when your are hopeing for a career as a professional musician. Nevertheless, they were great times for the most part. A lot of untradable memories full of places , people, and songs still pop up every now and then.
In 1984 I left the band and moved around for the next couple years. I settled back down in Homestead. During this time, I realised how much I enjoyed everything south Florida had to offer in the way of camping, boating, fishing, sightseeing, the everglades, it's history, etc. But after Hurricane Andrew and a short-lived marriag...Expand for more
e I moved to Nashville at the suggestion of a friend. I was looking for a change, something new.
Sometimes things fall into place in such a way that you know is beyond your orchestration.
Without going into a long dawn out story (which is one of the things that I'm so good at), I'll put it in a nutshell.
I met an incredible woman who is now my wife. We have two wonderful, rambunctious, loving, crazy children. I was given an oppurtunity to earn an associates degree in Industrial Manufacturing Maintenance (okay, I'm a mechanic).
Like I said, blessed beyond my merit.
My folks moved a few hours north of Homestead, so I still get down there from time to time to visit. Yes, I miss Florida. Sometimes I even get to Homestaed....where did it go? It's not the one I grew up in (I'm so glad "Capri's" restaurant is still there and the steel bridge too).
It's a beautiful day and I hope it is for you too.
Whoever you are, I'm sure I miss you
Kenny
