Kent's Story
after graduating from brighton high school, i went to the university of utah for 2 years. first year was theatre arts, the second year for art/sculpting/ceramics.
then i moved to los angeles, ca in 1989. that was an interesting 18 year stint. got a job in the film industry, managing film vaults for the movie studios. then started a magazine w/ some friends and luckily got world wide distribution through time warner. my art & photography & writing got huge world wide exposure from that (chatter magazine).
had a few art shows along the way.
got film credits in paramount picture's "a night at the roxbury" for hanging my artwork...Expand for more
on the movie set.
i was chosen to participate in a benifit at the playboy mansion to raise money for A.P.L.A. (aids project los angeles). some of the top photographers at the time were asked to auction thier photographs to raise money. met hugh heffner. that was a fun night.
after 2 years the magazine closed. things seemed to kind of wind down for me in los angeles, so i moved back to salt lake city, ut. to spend time w/ my family.
still doing art & photography. i have had a few art shows since i have been back. the last one was at Gallery UAF, and i got a really nice write-up in In Magazine.
that's about it. so far so good...
