Kent's Story
Well, I thought I had this already in here. Guess not...OK, here goes!!!
Hey all, this is how my life has shaped up so far. If you were in my class, you know we graduated...
...after which I worked for about 6 months and enlisted in the Marines. I did that for awhile...spend a lot of my enlistment in Okinawa, Japan. That was very cool. Although, when I dreamed of "seeing the world" I didn't think it would be on a tiny island in the Asian Pacific. That was my extent of World Travel. Upon discharge from the Corps, I went to work for my uncle in his machine shop in south-eastern Wisconsin. While employed there, I met my wife and in the fall of 1994, I got married. My wife and I have a VERY unique relationship...she is now 58 and I'm 36. Do the math, yea, she's old enough to be my mother. We have a 12 year old son together and she has a 34 year old son from her first marriage. Yep, I've got a step son almost as old as I am. Let's just say it make...Expand for more
s "Family Reunions" very INTERESTING. A few years after we married, and our son made his entrance, I decided it was time for me to go to school. Fast forward to 2002. In August of 2002, I received my Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems. I did that while working for Kohl's Corporation in a Kansas City, MO suburb. We resided in the KC metro area for 8 years. I also, during my tenure in the Kansas City area, started Grad School. I am halfway done with my MBA. Over the course of the last 5 years, I sought employment back in northern Wisconsin. In late May, I finally received the offer I was waiting for. I now work for Wausau Benefits, now called United Healthcare as as Application Developer. It is GREAT to be back "home". So, if any of my old friends wanna hook back up, you can drop me a line at hogie_2_u at yahoo dot com(I had to do it this way for content filters) or at the same yahoo ID on Yahoo Messenger. Hope to hear from ya!!!
