Linda's Story
My name is Linda Kent, high school graduate of Franklin Sr. High School 1963. I attended Lubbock Christian College in Texas after high school. I am a life long learner and continue to further my education each day, whether in a formal classroom or from those with whom I come in contact. I married, have three sons and seven grandchildren. I co-owned of a Helicopter Service in Michigan, worked in the medical field, became single, moved back to California and currently reside in Southern California. I worked in real estate lending for many years. Additionally, I have a Real Estate Salesperson License and am a Notary Public. I graduated from Citrus College, with an AS in Computer Information Systems, in Glendora (1996), and a BS in Org. Management, (1998) from Hope International University. market crashed, I went back to school and received my MA in Education, Teaching from Azusa Pacific University (2009), and have a teaching credential. Further, I currently work at a local community college and a Bioscience Collaborative. My favorite pastimes are activities with my family, especially the grandchildren who are so excited and in wonder about everything. It keeps me feeling younger than I am. Other things that I enjoy are walking, swimming, horseback riding, painting, piano, reading, writing and keeping up on current events. I always wanted to be a Music Teacher when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a good idea. As it turns out, they were somewhat wrong as I have never become a music teacher but did become a teacher. Although I never became a music teacher I still love music.
