Kent's Story

I always wanted to be a hobo when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a very bad idea idea. As it turns out, they were sorta right.Spent last 5 years traveling around USA in my RV. Now settled back down in Northern California Sierra foothills in a sticks and bricks house tending the garden, flying my drone, golfing, meditating, photographing the world. I didn't do anything wild during high school but made up for it in college and after. My inspiration comes from Paramhansa Yogananda. I have lived in Walla Walla, WA; Kansas City, MO; Kankakee, IL; Seattle, WA; Nevada City, CA. I love College and Pro football on TV but not in person. Like Golf Majors and Tour de France cycling no other sports. I love dogs but don't want to take care of one or experience the heartbreak of them passing on anymore. My biggest surprise was that I would leave the NW for living in CA. The one teacher from my past who I'd most like to see again is Johnnie Dennis, because he was my HS physics teacher and inspiration for learning. If I won $100 million, I'd give 90 percent of it to charity, then spend the rest on retirement, and travel and help the poor and uneducated in Rishikesh India. (Mother Miracle). doing what I am doing now. My current age is 100 <g>. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be retiring. I was so completely uninformed. Career aspirations include serving God. not the "Lord", but Divine Mother. Which I am doing. Style of dress is definitely jeans, sweats and tees. In summer it is shorts and Tommy Bahamas all the time. Sandals. I have suit and a few other "yuppy" clothes from previous life which is worn maybe 2 times per year. (edit - been 3 years since wearing a suit to a funeral) should last rest of life. Wierdest job I ever had was attending to a small water treatment plant part time in illinois while working in a woodworking shop. If I ever got a do-over, i may not have dropped out of medical school. In 10 years, I hope to be in samadhi. I'm going to get there by meditating regularly and opting out of maya. What about me that would surprise everyone at HS reunion was that I would even show up. My first job was at onion packing plant, where I got paid $1.25 per hour to sack onions. What I remember most about it is it was on the night shift and I could sleep during the day.. A childhood memory I will never forget is fighting with my best freind Gregg Loney. I hit him and regret it.
